Kenya ARCDM Projects with the National Treasury, Kenya
Objective : EcoCapita involves in various projects under the African Rural and Agricultural Credit Development Mechanism (ARCDM) in Kenya, to provide professional services for the verification, issuance, and transaction of Certified Emission Reduction (CER) credits under the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) for the Mau Forest Complex (Project 9789) and Aberdare Forest Complex (Project 9785), supporting sustainable forestry, carbon sequestration, and rural development in Kenya.
Scope : EcoCapita reviews project data, assessed plantation areas, and developed monitoring reports aligned with UNFCCC standards. It coordinated with the Designated Operational Entity (DOE) for validation and verification, conducted market analysis for CER transactions, and provided training to stakeholders for effective project execution.

EcoCapita’s expertise ensures successful implementation through inception reports, periodic monitoring, verification support, CER market reviews, and facilitating CER issuance.
